Advent By Candlelight Reservations
Women of the parish! It’s almost that time again to set aside the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and focus your minds and hearts on the birth of Christ, as we kick off the season of advent with our Advent By Candlelight celebration, Sunday, November 29 in the Parish Center. All adult women are invited to join us from 6:30–9:30pm for a beautiful evening of fellowship, musical worship, and prayer, as we focus on “Mary’s Gift.”
This year’s guest speaker is Libby Rohlfing Founder of Wear and Give, a beautiful ministry that is spreading Mary’s love to all and creating holy moments around the globe through the power of blessed Miraculous prayer bracelets. The evening’s Musical Worship is led by the mother-son duo, Cathy and Vinny Pescarino, and Elizabeth Smith.
Get your group of 8 together now! If you’ve never attended this annual event, you won’t want to miss it! This is what to expect:
As a hostess of a table, you are in charge of your table. The food and drink can be whatever you make of it! Some hostesses set up the table and bring all the food and drink to share with their eight (8) guests; however, the majority of hostesses ask everyone to bring a dish, appetizer and or dessert to share for the evening. Wine and other drinks are also shared at the table.
Setup can be as simple as a plastic tablecloth and disposable utensils on your round table, to beautiful dinnerware and glass. Everyone brings a centerpiece and many with lights. There is no wrong way to set up your table, unless of course, your centerpiece is too tall and no one can see around it – please don’t do this.
We also ask that everyone at your table donate $10 for our cause, which will be split between Wear and Give and the Assumption St. Vincent de Paul Conference this year.
After you register, a hostess letter will be emailed to you with more information about setup dates and times.
