Join Us: Parish Pilgrimage Oct. 17

In honor of the Archdiocese of St. Louis celebrating its 200th Anniversary this year, Assumption Parish is planning another Bicentennial Jubilee Pilgrimage this fall. Mark your calendar now and be sure to join us Saturday, October 17, for one day filled with two exciting tours: Ste. Genevieve Parish, the oldest church west of the Mississippi River, and The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, MO.

Our pilgrimage begins with 8am Mass at Assumption Church, and then we hit the road together for Ste. Genevieve, MO., where our own Monsignor Dennis Stehly will give a 10am tour of the historical church where he served as Pastor of in 2016.
After the church tour, we’ll grab a bite to eat at the historic Old Brick House restaurant, the oldest brick building west of the Mississippi River, before heading to Perryville, MO for a 1pm tour of The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. After that hour-long tour, everyone is welcome to visit the Rosary Walk and gift shop before heading back to O’Fallon.

For those who are interested in going on this exciting pilgrimage, please call or email Nancy Gomer at 636-240-3721 ext. 239 or ngomer@abvmtech.org, and let her know if you are willing to drive as part of the carpool. If you need transportation to and from Ste. Genevieve, just let Nancy know that too! It is our hope that we’ll have enough drivers to all go down together.
