Assumption Lenten Talks Tackle “Are You Good Enough Yet?” as we Prepare for Easter
Do you struggle with perfectionism and try too hard or worry too much? Learn how to replace those traits and uneasy feelings with peace and freedom during Father Joe Kempf’s 7 p.m. Lenten presentation, “Are You Good Enough Yet?” on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in O’Fallon.
While it is important to care and try to be good enough, when is it too much? During this one-hour, fifteen minute presentation with question and answer period, Father Joe shares heartfelt insights about how everyone is worthy of peace and indeed good enough as we are. If you—or someone you know—is a perfectionist, do not miss Father Joe’s return to Assumption this Lenten season to discuss the pressures of trying to be good enough.
While Father Joe needs no introduction to so many at Assumption, he will always hold a special place for Assumption Parish in his heart. Serving as Assumption Pastor for 15 years, Father Joe brings a love of storytelling, a heart for God’s people, and a desire to help us remember those things that truly matter. He is currently serving as the pastor of Most Sacred Heart Parish in Eureka, and is the founder and president of “Gospel Values,” a non-profit company dedicated to proclaiming the beautiful message of Jesus for children of all ages. Father Joe also is the author of countless books, including his latest release “Are You Good Enough Yet?”; “No One Cries the Wrong Way”; “Don’t you DARE forgive. Unless...” and a number of children’s books including, “My Sister is Annoying”; “Don’t Drink the Holy Water” and “Sometimes Life Is Just Not Fair.”
