Pentecost - June 5, 2022

All Are Invited To Wear Red – Pentecost Sunday, June 5th

On June 5th the Church celebrates the great feast of Pentecost! We celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live and love as Jesus, utilizing His very power in this world. The color for Pentecost is red and you will see the priests wear red vestments. We invite everyone to wear red on June 5th, if you can do that easily, as an outward sign of our inward openness to the Holy Spirit and belief in His power among us.

Whether you are able to wear red or not, may people be able to see in our lives the very power of the Holy Spirit alive in our hearts!

Acts 2:2-4 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. . . . And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.”
