Here's a brief letter of introduction from Becky:

Assumption Parish Family,

Hello and greetings from sunny Arizona! My name is Becky Whitaker and I am ecstatic to have been called to join your parish family of Assumption as your new youth minister. When I was in high school in O’Fallon, my parish and youth ministry experience were vital lifelines for me to grow into who I was created to be and what I was created to be part of—the beautiful life of the Church and a life-giving relationship with God. Feeling at home in the Church was essential to what the Lord put in front of me in those years—friendships rooted in virtue, a support system so needed, parishioners and youth ministers who challenged and called me to more. That call grew to my studying Pastoral Leadership & Music Ministry at Marian University in Indianapolis, to the last six-years of full time EDGE & Life Teen youth ministry at a parish in Arizona, to embracing the call to married life with my incredible husband James, and now to the invitation to discover a new season of life through parish life and youth ministry at Assumption. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for our time together!

I am overjoyed to return to the land of the St. Louis Cardinals, toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake, family and friends, and the adventures in store for this new time of our lives. Know that I am praying for you and am exceptionally excited to pray with you and get to know you as you show me what you love most about being part of the Assumption Parish family.
