Faith in Action - Caring for those Caught in the Cold

During this dangerous arctic blast and the cold snaps still to come -- please check on neighbors, especially the elderly. If you or someone you know is in need of emergency warm shelter, here are some options:

Housing Resource Center (HRC) Helpline: (314) 802-5444
Note: to get into most shelters in the metro area, you need a referral from the HRC. The HRC is connected to dozens of shelters in the metro area

Dial 911 (Being caught in these frigid temps without heat is always an emergency)

There are warming buses at 13th & Chestnut in downtown St Louis, 5:30pm-7:30pm, to transport people to shelters; active whenever the evening temps are forecasted to drop below 32 degrees.
