Intro to the Catholic Faith

If you are yearning for something more in your life and want a closer relationship with God through the Catholic faith, then Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in O’Fallon has exactly what you are looking for! Join Pastor Nick Kastenholz, Thursday, Aug. 24, for the church’s annual “Overview of the Catholic Faith” from 7-8:30 p.m. at Assumption Parish. This introductory session is free and is open to anyone 16 years of age and older. Participants will learn about the history of the Roman Catholic Church, its beliefs, and how Catholics came to believe in Jesus Christ our Savior.

“As part of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis' strategic pastoral planning initiative known as “All Things New,” parishioners of Assumption are called to go out and evangelize and spread the good news about this powerful faith process, and we are doing just that” says Father Nick. “This year, it is our mission to grow in faith and bring our faith to others.”

This educational session is the perfect opportunity to grow your faith with fellow parishioners, and it is especially fitting for those who have been:

• baptized in another faith tradition or baptized Catholic but never received any formal religious education or additional sacraments

• un-baptized and beginning to feel the need to develop a relationship with God in your life

• married to a Catholic and attend Mass, but would like to know the next steps to becoming one of the Catholic faithful

Let Assumption Parish be the turning point in your life. For more information about Assumption’s Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and how to become a Catholic, visit our website at https://bit.ly/AssumptionRCIA, or call Missy Lowrey, RCIA Coordinator, at 314-630-3983.

Our mission continues with you!
May you find Christ here...
May you bring Christ to the world!
