Children's Liturgy of the Word Volunteers Needed

We are in the process of planning a new year of Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOTW) that begins August 17, and we need help! On average, we had 27 children in attendance each Sunday at 10AM Mass last year, and we anticipate the same level of interest or more this year! To continue to have a successful CLOTW, WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS...

We are looking for adult volunteers to serve as Catechists, timekeepers, and general classroom support to help keep the children focused on the Word. You do not have to be related to the children or have children attending or even have children in order to help, just a love for spreading the love of Jesus. This is also a perfect opportunity for young adults to assist the adults and earn service hours towards their confirmation goals. Based on our current attendance rate, our goal is to always have three volunteers in the room. If we get enough volunteers, you may only be asked to assist once a month. If you are already “Protecting God’s Children” certified, you can start helping immediately. If you are not, that can easily be taken care of through training at your convenience.

Please give prayerful discernment in supporting this important Children’s Ministry. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Maria Tadlock at Shmilyrt@charter.net or 636-734-2817.
