If you are longing for something more in your life and want a closer relationship with God through the Catholic faith, then Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in O’Fallon has exactly what you are looking for! Join our pastor, Nick Kastenholz, Thursday, Aug. 29, for an “Overview of the Catholic Faith” from 7-8:30 p.m. at Assumption Church, located at 403 North Main Street. This presentation is open to anyone 16 years of age and older. Participants will learn about the history of the Roman Catholic Church, its beliefs, the sacraments, and how Catholics came to believe in Jesus Christ our Savior.
“This is an invitation to know the fullness of the Catholic faith,” says Father Nick. “To be open to hear if God is calling you to grow in your faith, in your relationship with Him, and to become a part of the Catholic Church.”
This educational session is the perfect opportunity to grow your faith with fellow parishioners, and it is especially fitting for those who have been:
• Baptized in another faith tradition or baptized Catholic but never received any formal religious education or additional sacraments
• Un-baptized and beginning to feel the need to develop a relationship with God in your life
• Married to a Catholic and attend Mass, but would like to know the next steps to becoming one of the Catholic faithful
Has God been calling you? Let Assumption Church be the turning point in your life.
