It is the mission of Assumption's PSR to provide a religious education program
in which children grow in intimacy and communion with Jesus.
We share the Message of Christ, build Community through
our time together, Worship together as people of God and offer
Service to our neighbors who are less fortunate than ourselves.
We will work with families of special needs to provide the best
possible experience of faith formation for your child.
Our program partners with parents in strengthening Catholic
identity through regular religious instruction and participation
in the Catholic community of faith. The curriculum is designed
to spiral from one year to the next with the Sacraments
of Reconciliation and Eucharist celebrated in the second grade
and Confirmation celebrated in the eighth grade at the
Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis.
Through the dedication of our volunteer catechists,
we are committed to bringing Christ alive to all the children
we are entrusted. Catechists are encouraged to continue their
formal faith formation through the
Paul VI Program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
We welcome your family to our program.
May you find Christ here.
May you bring Christ to the world!
For Our Families

In the Spotlight:
This past week, approximately 50 of the PSR 2nd graders received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. After receiving the sacrament, praying with their family, students put a heart on the tree rerpresenting the giving of their heart to Jesus.
3rd grade PSR students and their parents attended Parent Night the first week in December. They prayed together and made a special advent wreath to cherish for many years.
Over 60 PSR 2nd grade students received their First Holy Communion this past April 2015.
It was a beautiful and spiritual celebration of our unity with Jesus Christ.
Hearts United: The students and teachers of both PSR and Day School each completed a heart in honor of St. Valentine's Day and to celebrate unity. About 1000 hearts were completed and displayed in the Main School Building Hallway.
